  • The base fee covers dispatch and travel to your pickup location. Distance, additional helpers, stairs, and other applicable job requirements are added separately.

  • Payment is collected 100% upfront when you book. You'll see your calculated total before completing payment.

  • For our standard pickup and delivery services, no. Our pricing is based primarily on the type of service, distance, crew requirements, stairs/access, and other details of the job. This makes the price easier to understand before your pickup begins.

  • Absolutely. Store pickups are one of our core services. We can pick up furniture, appliances, and other bulky purchases and deliver them to your home or business.

  • Yes. If you've found furniture or another bulky item online but don't have a truck to bring it home, that's exactly the type of pickup we're designed to handle.

  • Yes. Your booking form lets us know what you're moving and how much help is required. Please tell us about stairs, difficult access, unusually heavy items, or anything else our hauler should know.

  • Choose the Full Crew option when booking. An additional helper is $45.

  • Stairs can require additional time and labor. Our current stair/access charge is $15 per applicable flight. Make sure you tell us about stairs during booking so your price is calculated properly.

  • Your price is based on the information you provide when booking. Additional charges may apply if the actual pickup differs from those details—for example, additional items, unexpected stairs, difficult access, or additional labor requirements.

  • Man With A Van Pickup serves Virginia Beach and surrounding Hampton Roads communities, including Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News.

  • We're designed primarily for smaller moves, bulky-item pickups, store purchases, marketplace purchases, appliances, and local deliveries rather than traditional full-service household moving.
